Yes its John Adams. Welcome to this crazy world John! His blog is entitled Hell Mouth which presumably will prepare us for what is to come.
We are looking forward to seeing him in Chicago next week, and then again in Washington DC where he will be one of the honorees for the 2009 National Endowment of the Arts Opera awards. The others this year are Lotfi Mansouri, Frank Corsaro, Julius Rudel and Marilyn Horne. Our Opera America Board meeting is arranged to coincide - so I am looking forward to being there.
