Around the Web today

There are two (at least) good operatic things on the web for you to look at.

First Andrew Patner's comments on the Mortier story which can be found on his blog - which incidentally you should bookmark anyway.  Andrew is one of the informed and outspoken commentators of choice.  And the choice of those who are both is not huge alas.

And the second is a new Italian opera of great topicality which will greatly entertain you (unless you are a politically delicate flower).

And there is a good non operatic one - its Irish of course

I am off to the airport for my flight to New York in an hour or so - and with the weekend construction problems of the CTA Blue line I have to take a cab.........
