We had a lovely big snowfall yesterday evening and this was the result on Wellington this morning when I went out early to pick up bagels for the staff brunch we had today. I have no idea how many inches it was but it was a fine sight.
We had a rather dodgy drive back from Evanston yesterday evening as the snow persisted through the night. But the trip to Nancy Gustafson's Celebration event (referred to in Friday's post) was more than worth while, and the full house demonstrated the determination of all to make it in spite the weather obstacles. She had assembled a super group of singers of all generations. Nancy herself with Denyce Graves and Sylvia McNair were the experienced girls, and the young talent was outstanding with three of the best young baritones around, Jonathan Beyer, Paul La Rosa, and Matthew Worth. Tenor Vale Rideout completed this splendid line up.
Now we have a quiet Sunday evening before a full week ahead.

looks like its very cold out there.
